Glosario de términos usados en fotoquímica

The Glossary presented below is a literal copy, in digital format and with open access, of the one published in 1999 in conventional format by the Servei de Publicacions de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, with the title Glossary of terms used in photochemistry. This text is the Spanish version of the one published by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) under the title Glossary of terms used in photochemistry. IUPAC Recommendations, 2nd ed., in 1996.

A decade later, in 2007, IUPAC published an expanded third edition of the Glossary, prepared by Dr. S. Braslavsky, available in Pure and Applied Chemistry 79, 293.

The authors of the Glossary are grateful for the generosity and effort of the Servei de Publicacions, which will allow free and universal access to this fundamental set of technical terms in the field of photochemistry, whose definitions and symbols have already been consolidated thanks to the favourable reception by our scientific community. They would also like to take this opportunity to gratefully acknowledge the efforts and great dedication of two of the authors of the Glossary who passed away early: Dr. Roberto Sastre, who participated in the Spanish version, and Dr. Francesc Trull, who participated in the Catalan version.
