Sinopsis

El regreso a la comunidad tras haber pasado un periodo en prisión no es una tarea sencilla. Restablecer los vínculos con la familia y los amigos, encontrar empleo, superar problemas de drogodependencia o enfrentarse al estigma asociado a la prisión son algunas de las barreras que estas personas deben afrontar.
Este libro presenta en detalle una investigación experimental, financiada por el programa RecerCaixa, en la que 89 mentores acompañaron durante un año a 86 personas que habían cumplido una pena de prisión. Dicho apoyo constituyó su principal recurso en el proceso de reinserción.
El lector encontrará una descripción del programa de mentoría, así como un análisis de las potencialidades y los límites de la participación de la sociedad en la reintegración de las personas tras su paso por prisión.

Biografía del autor/a

José Cid Moliné, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona

Catedrático de Derecho Penal y Criminología en la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. Ha sido investigador visitante en la Universidad de Bolonia, en la London School of Economics y en el Instituto de Criminología de la Universidad de Cambridge. Ha dedicado su trayectoria científica a la criminología y a la penología. Entre sus obras como autor o coautor destacan: ¿Pena justa o pena útil? (1994), Penas alternativas a la prisión (1997); Jueces penales y penas en España (2001), La elección del castigo (2009) y Teorías criminológicas (2023). Dirige en la UAB el Grupo de Investigación en Desistimiento del Delito y Políticas de Reinserción, en cuyo seno se han llevado a cabo en los últimos años diversas investigaciones sobre desistimiento de adultos y jóvenes. En la actualidad trabaja sobre el impacto del régimen abierto en el proceso de reintegración. En 2021 la Sociedad Española de Investigación Criminológica le concedió el Premio Nacional de Criminología Rafael Salillas.

Antonio Andrés-Pueyo es catedrático de Psicología en la Universidad de Barcelona, creador del Grupo de Estudios Avanzados sobre la Violencia (GEAV) y profesor en los estudios de Psicología y Criminología de la Universidad de Barcelona. Ha dedicado parte de su trayectoria científica a la psicología de la violencia y a la criminología, con especial atención a la valoración del riesgo de reincidencia y a la prevención de la violencia en contextos forenses y penitenciarios. Entre sus obras recientes destacan Cómo acabar con la violencia (2024) y Manual sobre conductas sexuales abusivas y delitos sexuales cometidos por adolescentes (2026). Es, asimismo, coautor de los protocolos VioGen, RisCanvi, RVD-BCN y PREVIO, ampliamente utilizados en el sistema penitenciario y policial español e iberoamericano. Coordina el Máster en Psicología Forense y Criminal del IL3/UB y asesora regularmente a organismos nacionales e internacionales —entre ellos, el Ministerio de Interior del Gobierno de España y la Consejería de Justicia de la Generalitat de Catalunya, los Mossos d’Esquadra, UNICEF y diversas instituciones latinoamericanas— sobre evaluación y gestión del riesgo de violencia.
